Centre for Crime and Justice Studies logo

The Centre for Crime and Justice Studies (CCJS) needed an overhaul of their identity. Their logo didn’t exist in any professional format and was a mishmash of various attempts at re-drawing it. We developed a logo and branding system that was simple but incorporated a modern clean typeface and a striking colour palette of 10 complementary colours. These are used for the many reports that CCJS produce.

CCJS suffer from ‘word congestion’ in their name: we separated the elements into two lines to help reduce this. We also advised to remove the definte article (’the’) from the name; this is unnecessary as they will always be described as ‘The Centre for...’ and it helped reduce the word count.
