Centre for Muslim Affairs logo

We designed this logo for the Centre for Muslim Affairs. The client wanted an obvious link with Islam but to be represented in a contemporary way. We took the familiar half-moon crescent associated with the Muslim religion and abstracted it into an pattern of coarse dots. The colour is common in Islamic ceramic art and was chosen for its modern feel and its difference to the usual Islamic green. This device gives the scope to be used at various sizes as a secondary element on printed materials for scale and impact.
