Chrysalis School for Autism logo

The Chrysalis School for Autism, a small parent-run school in Hertfordshire, for children with Autism. After battling with the local education authority for proper schooling for their children, several parents decided to go it alone and set-up their own school.

We developed the logo based on the transformation of a chrysalis to butterfly and the positivity that this embodies. To protect the privacy of the children, no identifying photos can be used on school publicity so we drew a series of children’s faces that can be used as icons. The illustration style was child-like and echoed the positive ethos of the school; we felt it was important to remember that this was a school for children and not just a brand.
