Did you know that bananas are the most popular supermarket shopping item in the UK?

All about Holly

I’m passionate about design, ethics and of course monkeys! I don’t think design and ethics are mutually exclusive and throughout my career I’ve tried to combine the two: setting up Bananadesign was the natural progression of this thinking.

I graduated in 1992 with an honours degree in Graphic Design from Brighton Polytechnic (now the University of Brighton). After this I went on to work for four years at a small London design agency. Work here included designing projects for numerous clients from the public and charity sectors.

I then moved into the charity-sector proper as a senior designer in the Creative Services team at ActionAid, where Dave and I met. After two years of working together we decided to go it alone!

At Bananadesign I’m responsible for design and production, project management, client liaison, marketing and promotion, business planning and budgeting as well as the day-to-day running of the company. As you can guess I’m an excellent organiser.

I know Quark XPress, Illustrator and Photoshop upside down and inside out. When I’m not designing I like making paper mache ‘creations’, taking photos and astrology (Im a Pisces by the way). Oh and I love bananas!

Im currently on maternity leave looking after our children Zac and Mackenzie.
